For the last three years, I’ve personally funded all the research and resources I’ve compiled and shared related to the 8th Air Force and the 44th Bomb Group.

Over thousands of hours – including a 4-month sabbatical from my job – I’m most proud of creating the following public and free resources to honor the memory of the 44th Bomb Group during WWII:

• The 44th Bomb Group Database telling the story of all 5,000 airmen with 1.5 million data points.
• A You Tube Channel with wartime footage of the 44th and 8th AF that I’ve collected and digitized from national and international research trips.
• An 8th Air Force in WWII Instagram showcasing photos from Will Lundy’s personal archive that I’ve spent the last year digitizing and sharing.
• This very website in honor of my grandfather Wallace B Truslow – to tell his crew’s story during WWII.
• Almost weekly personal research requests from families of the 44th Bomb Group looking for info about a loved one. I spend several hours researching and responding to each and every request, as I know first-hand the power of finding the wartime story of a father or grandfather taken to the grave. I happily provide this service free of charge, while wartime researchers often charge hundreds of dollars per hour
